Sharing your contact with NFC is simple: you tap your NFC ring or card to the back of someone’s phone, and your profile opens in their browser. They don’t need to install anything.
How it works
- Set your username — In the RingTap app, set a username (e.g.
jane). Your link becomesringtap.me/jane. - Program your NFC ring or card — Use the app’s built-in NFC writer to write your link to the ring or card.
- Tap to share — Hold your ring or card to the back of their phone. Their browser opens your profile.
- They save your contact — They can tap “Save contact” or copy your links.
Do they need the RingTap app?
No. Your profile opens in their default browser. They can view your info, save your contact, and tap your links without installing RingTap.
What phones work?
- iPhone — iPhone 7 and newer support NFC.
- Android — Most Android phones with NFC support work.
Tips for a smooth tap
- Hold the ring or card flat against the back of the phone.
- Keep it on the NFC area (usually near the top or center of the back).
- A tap usually takes 1–2 seconds.
Where to get an NFC ring
RingTap sells NFC rings and cards in the Store. You can also use compatible NFC rings from other brands—as long as they support URL writing, the RingTap app can program them.
